Our mission

The Education Foundation for Suffolk County Extension was established in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) charity to raise and manage funds to support the educational and research programs of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. These initiatives are dedicated to strengthening families and communities, protecting and enhancing the environment, fostering economic development and promoting sustainable agriculture.

By funding these programs, the Education Foundation helps disseminate fact-based knowledge that promotes excellence and empowers every individual, family and business to benefit our communities at large.

The Foundation supports all CCE Suffolk initiatives, including those of the four primary program areas:

  • Agriculture

  • Family Health and Wellness

  • Marine

  • 4-H Youth Development
